It is no secret that No Man’s Sky had a rocky start when it launched back in August of 2016. However, much has changed since that date. No Man’s Sky launched the Next update in July 2018 to significantly more praise than the game had ever seen prior. This update was the beginning of the resurrection of No Man’s Sky, adding content such as multiplayer and third person perspective.
Now, October 2018 the first major update since the Next update, The Abyss has launched. The update adds significant content to the under water game play of No Man’s Sky. New building items, a new mode of transportation, five times more variation in fauna and flora for the under water sections, and much more. But the most important part of this update, is that it paves the path that the No Man’s Sky Next update wasn’t the end. This game will continue to gain more content, and so far that content has been free of charge.
Say what you will about No Man’s Sky at launch, because this game is no longer the game that was launched back in 2016. This game is new and fresh. It feels like a whole different game, whilst still keeping to its core of the space exploration. I can finally say that I recommend you give No Man’s Sky a shot.
