You can watch the latest video for Anthem’s gameplay here, showing off the majority of the base skills for each Javelin:
Anthem is probably my most anticipated game currently due for release in the upcoming months. It looks like a game that I can sink hundreds of hours in to and still have more stuff to do. The video above just solidified my excitement showing off how unique the different Javelins are.
On top of this little gameplay video released, they also had a live stream on Twitch that you can watch here:
If you aren’t familiar with P.T. it is short for Playable Teaser, a game demo made by Konami to promote their now cancelled Silent Hills game. When the game was cancelled, P.T. was removed from the store unable to be downloaded unless you had a PS4 that had already had it installed.
Reports on Reddit are stating however, since an update to the demo over the last few days, it has rendered the demo unplayable. Not only is this awful timing with it being Halloween and the demo being in the horror category, but with how bad a reputation Konami has in the gaming community, it just doesn’t really make sense.
If we look back at Konami’s recent history, P.T. was the beginning of the downfall of Konami because it was the last decent piece of content they have provided the gaming community. After P.T., Silent Hills was cancelled and Hideo Kojima reportedly fired. Then they released the less than stellar Metal Gear Survive, and now they make the P.T. unplayable. Frankly, this decision is mind boggling and just a loss for everyone involved.
I don’t know what the next steps are for Konami, but they have a long road ahead to repair their image with the gaming community.
Halloween is here and I was looking for something spooky to play to get me in the Halloween mood, when I realized how many great horror games there are to choose from.
Here is a list of some of my favorites in no particular order.
What can be scarier than being on an airplane crashing in to an island with spooky cannibals? Not much I can tell you. If you are a fan of survival games, this is one of the best. Bring your friends along for the journey too if you want, as the game has online multiplayer. It even has a VR mode if you want to really be scared!
If science fiction is more your thing, then Prey is a great choice for scares this Halloween. The beauty of Prey is not knowing what your enemy is, considering they are shape-shifters after all. I never would have said a mug would be scary until I played this game.
Crypt Of The NecroDancer
If scares are not for you but you still want to join in with the Halloween fun, then Crypt Of The NecroDancer is for you. This rhythm based dungeon crawler certainly is fitting with its many ghouls and other creatures. It doesn’t hurt that it’s also pretty addictive too!
With Dying Light 2 being announced at E3 2018, now is the perfect time get caught up in time with the original Dying Light before the sequel releases sometime in 2019. If the game play of Dead Island was a great idea but felt a little sluggish to you, this game fixes that by adding a robust parkour system. If a few friends are available, the game has co-op too.
This list is just some of my favorite games to play on Halloween, what games do you plan on playing?
